Perry Yellowjacket Holden Kelly was named the Lightweight Most Outstanding Wrestler following the Cal-Mum Duals on Saturday, Jan. 14, 2023.
Perry finished fifth in team standings with six total wrestlers competing. Kelly and teammate Noah Leitten both swept their competition, going 5-0.
Maddox Regatuso went 4-1 for the Yellowjackets. Brady Kelly and Jacob Scott were 3-2.
Perry previously lost a tough meet to Caledonia-Mumford on Thursday, Jan. 12, falling 50-14. The Yellowjackets had three match victories in the Livingston County Athletic Association Division II event.
Regatuso gave Perry its first win with an 11-10 decision over James Patanella at 118 pounds.
Holden Kelly (132) had a 19-4 technical fall win against Simon Martin. Leitten (145) won by forfeit.
Perry wrestles Avon/Geneseo on Thursday, Jan. 19.
